Since childhood, Dan has been fascinated with special effects as a form of magic; a deceit in service of a narrative for an audience eager to suspend disbelief. As such he approaches every effect as a unique challenge, not just an isolated product but as an event integral to the world of the story.

From his main workshop in Lower Sydenham, London, he designs makeups, puppets, rigs and speciality props that are used all over the world.
